Puzzlin' in Transitional Kindergarten
Funded Nov 10, 2021Thank you for all your support in funding my project! Puzzles are such an important component of the early childhood classroom, and now my students are able to practice problem solving skills and prepare for reading without really knowing they're doing it! So far, we have loved using the different floor puzzles and table puzzle during center rotations. The realistic pictures on the table puzzles are just the perfect amount of challenging and engaging for my students. I am excited to continue using them in my room for many years to come.”

This classroom project was brought to life by #TeachHealthy with Nature Made and 13 other donors.Math Coaches
Funded Apr 22, 2018The change that the items have made in the classroom is nothing short of amazing. There is more freedom around the room, allowing greater opportunity for learning in the way that fits each students best. One of the greatest takeaways from the project has had nothing to do with the items themselves, but the generosity and "Unbelievable-ness" that so many people care about my students being able to have materials to help them learn better.
When the boxes arrived, the students absolutely freaked out! It took multiple students going to the office to work together and bring them to the classroom. they were so excited to try out the stools, and were so sweet in taking turns using them to introduce the new materials to the classroom. After about a week, students were completing their math assignments with greater accuracy and feeling proud to take the chairs around and "Coach" others on the lesson. Students were even working a few lessons ahead at home so they would be ready to complete their assignments in class!! Its amazing what a few simple chairs can do in a classroom with 38 students eager to learn. This year, we started Coaching again and the now 5th graders came in and shared with the students how to be a good coach. They were so proud to work with the new 4th graders and get them all set up for success!
I cannot thank all of the donors enough for their generosity in our project.”
