Funded May 27, 2020Learning remotely has been quite the learning curve for both my students and myself. I serve special education students, so not having me by their side can be a challenge. They learn best pairing verbal prompts with visual cues. This iPad has been a lifesaver and has changed how I am able to teach. I use several devices while teaching as well as several platforms for learning. We use Google Classroom, Google Slides, and SeeSaw for the most part. I also use a document camera.
The amazing thing with the iPad is being able to highlight and write on documents. I am able to jot for students in my handwriting, modeling for them how they should also jot on their texts. I am able to highlight directions for students, as well as easily circle or show work in real time. My students love that I am able to use my actual handwriting instead of type. I think it makes them feel like we are not just using computers and screens. Thank you so much for this amazing gift!”
With gratitude,
