While using heart rate monitors and digital walkers, students will be able to track both amount of steps and how many beats per minute of their heart. Students participate and enjoy PE, but when they put on their digital walkers, they are always competing with each other to get the most steps and with the addition of a heart rate monitor they can see how hard the heart is pumping. With a pedometer they will be able to track and reach goal. Students will also be able to check how hard the heart is working with the heart rate monitor.
