  • Learning About Our Star? Been There, Sun That!

    Funded May 12, 2022

Each day that I get to work with my students, I am continually blown away by their levels of creative, critical thinking, engineering design skills! That is why moving my upper elementary students to work with telescopes has been an amazing opportunity for them, because of your generous support!

Because of your gift, we have been able to begin the process of forming our first Astronomy Club. Though we missed the meeting in person this school year, we have already begun to introduce this to our students this year.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Bell

  • We Are Going to Thrive Not Just Survive

    Funded Aug 24, 2021

Because of your generous support, many of my students have access to some of the most basic resources while learning virtually. The past year has been unlike anything we have experienced before, but because of people like you, students, and educators, learning is still happening every day. Many of my students do not have access to the tools they need to learn at home, but with this project, we have provided the items necessary for them. Thank you for making this possible!”

  • Leading in Equity in Education Training

    Funded Sep 1, 2020

For too long, injustices have been embedded in the education system. As an educator today, I believe one of my responsibilities is to be an advocate for equity in education.

From the practice in my teaching, to leading peers in the field of education, I believe that all students should have access to an equitable education.

In this professional development, I will be trained in leading other educators in racial justice and equity in the framework of education. Through this training, we will help create a practice of teaching that includes all students!”

    Mr. Bell

  • Laser Printing in the Classroom

    Funded Jan 29, 2021

Thank you for support in providing my students with technology to grow and learn to new levels. When working with project based learning in the classroom, many times my students need quick access to printers. Due to Covid-19 precautions, students are limited in when and where they can go in building to limit the spread. Having access to a laser printer in classroom, students will be able to print thousands of pages for years to come, at a very low costs.

Students have the best opportunity to succeed when having access to even the most basic technologies.

Education and how teachers teach and students learn has changed dramatically over the last year and with the proper technology tools, we are able to better evolve!”

    Mr. Bell

  • Outdoor Habitats

    Funded May 11, 2018

Our classroom pet tortoise has been such a great asset to our students by teaching responsibility, learning about animals and their ecosystems and has also been an emotional support for the 32 students in our classroom. The students have taken charge in caring for our pet tortoise. Building an outdoor habitat for our class tortoise has given the students opportunites to build skills of observation and understanding how animals work in habitats that are best designed for them.

Thank you for being a champion of science!”

  • PBL Projects to Form Future World Leaders

    Funded Dec 2, 2020

Giving students early access to tools for project based learning and engineering will help build a love for STEM within them at a young age and will only help increase the chance of being involved in this work in the future. A lack of resources and opportunities to high-quality STEM education has hurt students for many years but thanks to you and many others, educators all over the country are able to open doors for students!

Again, thank you so much for supporting our project and helping to fund our classroom engineering tools! Watching the students' faces as they got to work with the tools for the first time is something I will never forget and neither will they forget the first time they used one! Thank you for being a champion of science!”

  • E-Books and E-Readers for E-xcellent Students!

    Funded Mar 16, 2021

Over the past year and a half, the way we educate our students has changed to meet their needs, both educationly and safely. Assurimng that students have access to books in hand, whether its a paper copy or digital, gives students the opportunity to continue to grow and learn.

When students have access to books, whether in their hands reading themselves or being read to by someone else, they are given the tools needed to reach heights never imagined before! Thank you for being apart of this project and giving books that represent them and their communities with a digital library!”
