One of my greatest joys as a teacher is reading with my small groups. Last year our school was given new tables but I soon found out that our new table was unable to fit 6 chairs. These stools will allow my students to sit at our horseshoe table where I can view each individual child as they practice their oral reading skills. Every day I meet with a small reading group and with these stools we won't have to sit around students' desks, we will be able to set aside a special reading area to focus on fluency, comprehension, and the basic joy of reading!
