As the first hands on art teacher to serve OAE on our Visual and Performing Arts Grant: I am cleaning out the band room and converting it into an art facility. I will provide studio art instruction every week to every single class of our 600 student body. We are going to have a lot of artwork that needs to have a tucked away place to dry for the day. These screenprint drying racks are perfect to maximize out limited space for so many new artists' creations. I would like to put sculptural materials in their hands directly from your donations as well. They can each directly experience your contribution by making a full color 1.5 ounce sculptural animal. Can you imagine the ecosystem that will evolve from that single project and 600 different takes on what makes an animal strong, or beautiful? Built from this project onward we will together inspire the students to paint habitat diorama back drops for the collection of animals, and a facsinating self sorting all the animals into their respective environments will ensue. (after those background scenes dry on the racks of course!) You can help us advance our 2019/2020 year's potential at our school by providing students sculpting materials for hands on representational skills to help them make connections, advancing their awareness of the Earth's ecology, and their own creative potential.
