  • Successful Through the Stages!

    Funded Dec 2, 2024

I want to thank you again for your donations to this project for my school. As an Instructional Leadership Specialist, it was such a great feeling to be able to share these materials with the classrooms for students to use.

The notebooks will be used as a part of our end of the year Graduation Goodies. Each student who is moving onto Kindergarten will receive 2 of these writing journals and other educational and fun goodies right before leaving for Summer Break. With all the hard work these students have been doing with their writing this year, I am sure they will enjoy the opportunity to have their own special Summer Journal.

The Busy Books are a great success, especially with our students with Autism. They are sitting and engaging with these colorful, fun, and interactive pages. They are building fine motor strength as they practice matching and labeling the items on the pages.

Thank you again for your kindness and support. I am very grateful for the opportunity Donor's Choose offers educators.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Ouellette

  • Bringing Literacy to Life!

    Funded Aug 14, 2024

Thank you again for donating to this literacy project. The students are really enjoying the interactive story books and pieces. They like to be a part of the read aloud experience. With multiple exposures and encouragement to interact with the book, they are showing excitement when it's time to sit down for reading.

When I shared the new materials with the teachers in our lending library, they were so thankful to have interactive materials to enhance the read aloud experience. Once the students got their hand on the pieces, the teacher's excitement grew seeing the children engage during the reading and after in a play-based center activity.”

  • School Store Stock-Up

    Funded Mar 4, 2024

Thank you again for supporting our School based project! The students have been more eager than ever to work hard to earn their CUB CASH incentives to go shopping at the PBIS School Store. All of the materials meet the developmental needs and interests of the variety of students we have in our classrooms.

Students are excited once they approach the PBIS School Store cart. They are scheduled to "shop" at least once a month, as they are able to cash in on special activities and snacks in addition to the store items.

Again, your donations to this project have really made students eager to participate in meeting the behavior expectations set forth by our PBIS program.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Ouellette

  • Impressive Incentives for PBIS

    Funded Nov 15, 2021

I want to thank you on behalf of our entire school for your generous donations to this project. As we continue to create our PBIS team and plan for the upcoming school year, we are actively preparing our on the go school store. We have shown the children some of the amazing prizes they will be earning in the future and they are so excited.

As we continue to create the incentive selection, we are working on creating labels and baskets to keep all of the items organized! The rolling cart is perfect for moving through the hallways and going from class to class for the children to choose which incentive prize they want to cash in their hard earned "cub cash" for. Will it be a new mini stuffed animal to snuggle up with? Or maybe a bottle of bubbles to blow on a beautiful Spring day.

With your generosity, they are now able to choose between fun and child friendly prizes!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Ouellette

  • Foundations of Writing: A Pre-K Necessity

    Funded Aug 12, 2021

Thank you so much for contributing to my classroom project! Learning how to write is a foundational skill for young children to learn and lead them on their future success in school.

This added bonus of supplies to our daily curriculum has already began making an incredible impact on their interest in writing and learning their letters. The students are excited when they are able to get their material bags and join in during the whole group lesson. They are describing the letter formations and building the letters as we go along. Their favorite activity has been writing on the mini chalk boards and then erasing their lines and curves with the wet sponge!

It has been so wonderful to make our classroom lessons more interactive with these individual materials. We are planning to allow the students to be the "teacher" and take turns showing their classmates how to build the beginning letter of their own name. The students love these materials and they are excited to follow along and eager to participate.

Your donations to our class are so greatly appreciated!”

    With gratitude,

  • Memorable Math Learning Boxes for Little Minds

    Funded Aug 12, 2021

These boxes and manipulatives have made such an impact on my student's ability to follow along in so many hands on learning opportunities. The students were so excited when they saw their boxes waiting for them in their cubbies. We have been using the dominoes on a daily basis to reinforce concepts of counting and colors!

These boxes are so useful in keeping everyone's materials organized. They have plenty of room to store these new manipulatives as well as other's I have received from previous donors.

The counting cubes are my student's favorite material in the box! Not only do they reinforce counting and colors, the students are working on their fine motor skills while putting them together and taking them apart. We have used the blocks for some measuring activities recently. We measured a giant pumpkin and a small red apple. Their favorite measuring activity with the cubes has been measuring to see how many cubes long their shoe was!

We want to thank you again for supporting the learning in our pre-k class. We look forward to working and developing our math skills all year long!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Ouellette

  • On Your Mark Get Set... Welcome!

    Funded Mar 17, 2021

These materials have played such an important role in my students returning to the classroom safely. All of these materials provided each student to have their own personal materials stored in their own space. The storage containers with lids have provided each student their own work box which held activities for students to use during small group learning rotations. The large work trays are very helpful in keeping their tables/desks clean from messy media projects such as painting and playdough.

Each child was so excited to see their name on the brightly colored cushions. They use them while sitting on the floor during circle time. These replaced the carpets that had been removed from the classroom. My students absolutely adore taking our learning "on the go" with their individual clipboards! They bring them outside to write and draw. This week we will be participating in a nature walk, so they will be able to draw/write what they see and hear while walking around outside.

Thank you again for helping me provide my students with a safe return back to school!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Ouellette

  • Victorious Virtual Play Dates

    Funded Mar 9, 2021

Thank you again for your donations to fund my classroom project. My students have been enjoying these new resources daily. Some students who are have remained remote enjoy building with the building bricks during their free time. Students in person and remote get very excited when it is time to work with their playdough tools. They are able to create amazing creations. Students decorated their own personal writing journals with the sticky foam shapes and enjoy writing and drawing in them often.

Once the students received their materials, both at home and at school, they were delighted! They were so excited to work with the new materials during our virtual play times. I am looking forward to allowing the students to continue to use these creative tools during our virtual play dates, as well as during their free choice time here in the classroom.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Ouellette

  • Homemade Learning

    Funded Nov 27, 2020

I am very grateful to have had this project funded! Not only did it support me as an educator, but most importantly it impacted my students learning at home. I was able to print and laminate some amazing materials to support hands on learning through this Remote learning process.

I was able to provide one of my special education students will some social emotional visuals to support her development in her home, as well as her time spent in a private daycare. For that, I am grateful.

For all of me students, I was able to send home reusable name tags, number books, alphabet matching cards, pattern mats and pieces, syllable counting cards, and so much more. I will be able to have students practice their early math and literacy skills through using these hands on materials during independent work times, as well as during my instructional times.

Again, I'd like to express my appreciation for generous donors within this amazing organization. Donors such as yourselves have shown a tremendous amount of support to teachers such as myself during this difficult transition into Remote Learning My students are receiving a better experience due to your kindness.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Ouellette

These hands-on materials will support my student's in a variety of ways. Materials such as visuals and puppets allow children to become active in literacy. While they are just beginning, these materials will excite them and allow them to be independent story tellers. The non-fiction set allows students to analyze real life photographs about topics they are learning about. These books will be in their learning centers, as well as a part of the classroom library. A lover of books will become a lover of learning. As they grow and learn, my preschoolers will learn the importance of literacy forever!
