  • We Love New Books!

    Funded Jul 30, 2021

These books flew off the shelves! Students are sharing these texts and discussing their favorite parts, recommending the titles to their friends, and asking each other questions about the stories.

Many of these books are graphic novels, which are high interest texts for a lot of readers. They are also usually accessible to all levels of readers.

Thank you so much for your donation as it helped add new diverse texts to my classroom library. It's important to have a wide range of novels available to students, and with your donation, I have been able to continue to do that.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Moseley

  • #FillEveryShelf in Ms. Moseley's Room

    Funded Mar 5, 2020

Thank you SO much for your generous donations! Providing quality stories that have a wide range of representation is essential - but has proven to be expensive. You are part of the reason my students will have diverse and engaging reading choices. I can’t thank you all enough - it is so appreciated.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Moseley

  • Flexible Seating Redesign

    Funded Aug 13, 2019

Thanks to your generous donations, my classroom has become so much more joyful and cozy. The increase in flexible seating options has made it so my students are excited to work in a "comfy" seat at a desk, at the carpet, or anywhere around the room. All of my 121 students have been able to enjoy these seating choices.

When the first seats arrived, my students rushed into the room and squealed with excitement! I have consistently heard how much my students enjoy being in my classroom. They continuously tell me how much they love to read and write in a comfy spot.

I plan to continue searching for flexible seating choices that meet all of my students' needs. Thank you again for your support and donations.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Moseley

Redesigning our learning environment by using flexible seating centers student learning as the main focus in the classroom. Empowering students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them improves engagement and production of meaningful thinking. Currently my students are choosing to work in a variety of locations in our room such as: carpet spots, stools, at different tables, sitting or laying on the floor with a clipboard. Providing students with choices that make them feel comfortable in our classroom is an essential component in motivating them. The flexible seating options that I have selected will benefit over 125 students by giving them additional seating options to make more effective learning choices. Our limited choices have already positively impacted my students collaboration and overall classroom culture. I hope that the additional options will help us grow even more!
