Thank you so much for the supplies for my classroom! My students are going to be so excited! These supplies will be great for small groups and task boxes. My students love hands-on activities and this will help them have access to more resources. I can't thank you enough!”

    Funded Nov 29, 2021

Thank you for the materials you donated to my classroom. My students are very grateful. The technology we received are two tablets. We use these tablets at centers and rest time. Students use these to practice tracing, watch educational videos, and improve on their pre-academic skills. Students are always eager to get on the tablets. They have also become great at sharing them.

The students love the cars the most. They play with them every day. The car with the ramp is their favorite! They put the cars up the ramp and put other cars inside of them. They also enjoy the magnetic blocks a lot. It's a very popular tub item. Students have enjoyed the paint for their art projects, too

For the tablets, all students enjoy it. For the other objects, all students really enjoy them as well. The students equally appreciate the materials. I appreciate your donate greatly as their teacher. My students have significantly benefitted from your help. Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Nelson

Do you remember back when kindergarten was play-based? Just because there is an extra focus on academics doesn't mean we have to take the play away. The kids I have in my classroom come from a low-socioeconomic area. Many of them do not have good social skills. But they all have one thing in common: they love to learn through play! It also helps build their social skills. I strive to have lots of manipulatives to make learning more fun. I want my kids to have fun while learning so that they are excited to come to school and so that the learning feels more natural and exciting. I have a lot of manipulatives in my room, but I am still in need of more counting manipulatives which are used in math centers. I'm requesting a variety of materials and sets including Match It! Counting, Mini-Dino Counters, Primary Shapes, Hundred Board, Geometric Solids, Snap Cubes, and Match Me cards. We do not have any scales or 3D shapes for math, and so it is hard to show students these concepts (I have to improvise). With these 3D shapes and Math Balances, my students will really be able to understand the material better. We also need Expo dry erase markers, reusable dry erase pockets, and Play-Doh for many of our hands-on center activities. The Mead writing journals will help my students create their own stories and allow them to illustrate them, as well. I'll keep time with the classroom magnetic Time Tracker. Thank you!
