I am requesting books to read aloud as part of our SEL time. Our titles include I Can't Believe You Said That, My Mouth Is a Volcano, But It's Not My Fault and many more. Social emotional learning activities encourage development of skills that will enable children to live happier and healthier lives. These books engage children in creative stories and inspire them to be the best "me" they can be. Julia Cook has written stories that have characters that are easily relate-able to children. The lessons in the series let students identify positive character traits in a fun and exciting way. These books would actively engage my students and teach them to become life-long problem solvers. I just know that these titles will be loved by all my second graders!
