  • Volley the Sound

    Funded Jan 8, 2024

Thank you so much for helping to improve the game day experience for our athlete warm-ups and spectators. Watching warm-ups in silence can be awkward. It also makes it difficult for me, as a coach, and opposing coaches to talk to their team without eavesdropping. Now we can do all of that with ease.

I am excited to use it this upcoming volleyball season. It not only crests extra entertainment between game play, but it relieves the strain of voices when needing to communicate with the spectators.

    Thank you.”

  • Power to Work

    Funded Sep 26, 2023

You have no idea how much your donation has impacted our classroom. It seems silly that surge protectors can improve classroom management and student work, but it really does.

Students can no longer move close to their friends because they are sitting close to a power outlet. Students can no longer use they Chromebook being dead as an excuse to not do work.

It's almost comical to point to the surge protector and smile when they do try 😆. They usually smile back and reluctantly plug in their Chromebook, and get to work.

Thank you for investing in our future.”

  • Season of Sharing

    Funded Nov 13, 2023

Thank for for helping to keep some sustenance in the bellies of our students, and thank you for helping them to keep their germs to themselves.

It is nice to be able to hand a student a snack when they tell me they are hungry, instead of telling them I'm sorry that they have to attempt to work while feeling hungry. It makes them better able to focus. It is something all of us appreciate.

We have already gone through three boxes of tissues since they arrived. And we are down to one box of snacks.

Thank you for supporting our future.”

  • Spike Your Way Through Life

    Funded Sep 13, 2023

Thank for adding to our successful volleyball season.

Your donations helped our athletes learn positions on the court. We used the sweat bands to identify a color for the different positions. This allowed them to better visualize where they should be when they are on the court.

Your donations helped improve practice time, and in turn, improving their overall volleyball skills. One of my favorite drills that we saw immediate application in a game is one that practiced balls that went into the net. Prior to working via that drill, my athletes just stared at the ball and allowed it to drop, giving the point to the opponent. After practicing with the drill, my athletes regularly went for the ball when it hit the net. And while it wasn't always a perfect save, we had a significant amount more of saves.

And finally, your donations helped my athletes to become more organized in their school and home life. Many of my athletes are still using the planners to keep track of when their assignments are due. This is a skill that it extremely helpful outside of school.

Thank you for investing in our future.”

  • Sharing the Knowledge

    Funded Nov 29, 2022

Thank you so much for your generosity. These earbuds and paper have not only reached my classroom, but it has reached into the classes of my colleagues as well.

It is so helpful for my students to have the earbuds with microphones. This allows them to have better recordings for their own read aloud.

The paper has allowed me to better communicate with parents about their children (when they do not have access to email). And recently, some of the digital systems within the school have been down, and the paper has been helpful as a plan B.

So truly and deeply, thank you.”

  • Comfort Reading

    Funded Nov 10, 2022

Thank you so much for helping my students feel more comfortable when they read.

They were sooo excited to get the bean bag. It was immediately occupied every class. It was without say that they had to work while using the bean bag, and they did!

I have washed the cover regularly, a super nice feature. The rug compliments the coziness of the reading corner.

While reading can often be a chore, being comfortable while doing so helps it not feel as much like a chore.

So truly, from the depths of my heart, thank you.”

  • Keeping it Clean

    Funded Jul 16, 2022

Your gift has been invaluable this year. While Covid is still very real, it is clear that influenza, RSV, and the stomach bug is making their way through our children, rampantly. We have had several students out because of these things. However, I strongly believe that you all have saved many students from getting sick. It has also helped me to avoid getting sick, and therefore I am able to be in the classroom diligently teaching the students.

Thank you for valuing the health of our students. While the disinfecting wipes are almost depleted, it has been great being able to keep the surfaces clean most of the first semester with your help.

    So again, thank you.”

  • LEGO My Stress

    Funded Apr 7, 2022

Thank you again for providing an outlet for my students when they are stressed, overwhelmed, upset, or just plain tired.

The students love being able to take out the Lego sets to help them keep their composure or to stay awake. Occasionally, I have to have them put them away to focus on the work at hand, but they love them so much that it is far a few between.

Your generosity has helped for years to come as the students continue to come through the ranks of education. Knowing there are outlets in the classroom for emotion is a relief. A teacher would much rather have students in the classroom than out.

    So truly, deeply, thank you.”

  • I See Myself

    Funded Jun 21, 2022

Seeing the world through the eyes of others is one thing. Seeing the world through the eyes of someone who looks like you is a completely different thing.

As I think about the impact these books have on my students, I think about the videos going around of the children who have seen the trailer for the new Little Mermaid. The wonder and excitement in their eyes for having a mermaid main character who resembles them takes the understanding to a whole new level.

Thank you for helping my students see themselves in what they read. This helps make reading more exciting for them. It helps them enjoy the act of reading even more.

    Sincerely, with much gratitude,”
