With the use of Snap Words Lists A, B, C, D, & G materials, the students will learn all their sight words needed to be a succesful reader. By using the Bilingual Bingo, Verbos flashcards, and Palabras de todos los dias in Spanish, the students will acquire all the vocabulary they need to read simple stories according to their reading level. These materials have pictures and that will make a huge difference in the learning of basic vocabulary words in my students because they need visuals to acquire this knowledge. I relied on visuals to call for their attention and reinforce their learning. The ways I will use these sight words flash cards materials are the following: In small group instruction, hole class, and by pairs. I tell my students we are playing a game of cards named "Read in A Flash" and if they read the card they win that specific card. Sometimes we take turns, some other times we don't. In this second modality is when it is more fun because there is a competition to read fast. That is why I call it read in a flash. The third modality is a combination of both, in that way everybody wins cards, but we have the first, second, and third place. Reading sight words in English and Spanish is the second basic literacy skill after learning the alphabet's name of the letters and sounds. It is crucial for my students to learn them as soon as possible and make it as fun as well. Let's read in a flash with good quality materials!
