My students are middle school students who work hard and strive for high quality. The students are multi-ethnic and multi-socio-economic. Their academic levels vary as well. The school is a non-traditional school which students must create a portfolio that reflects their learning throughout the year. Students must develop relationships with the community and participate in outside projects which are community based. The yearbook is one way that students produce a product, market it, and learn the characteristics of photography, journalism, and publishing.
