  • Science and Food

    Funded Nov 2, 2023

Thank you so much for the Aerogardens. The students were so excited when we unboxed them. They all talked about what items they would grow. Giving the students the ability to grow hands on allows for learning they could not get by just reading the information in a book.

Again thank you so much, they are fully responsible for the garden They keep up with watering, nutrients, PH levels and they are full of questions.

They are looking forward to tasting their first harvest. We will be making salsa.”

  • Great Seating Means Great Learning!

    Funded Sep 21, 2022

Thank you so much for the seating and the hot cocoa maker (Keurig). My students were overjoyed when they saw the new stools. We were down to 3 in our classroom. Two of the old ones the legs had bent and the third one the seat came off. We had to throw those away. The students can now gather again in groups and work together. They have really enjoyed this option.

We have our next classroom party coming. The students have been requesting their hot chocolate flavors in preparation for the hot cocoa they know is coming. We also have our fall festival for the school. Our Keurig will be providing the hot water for the cocoa we will sell at the concession stand. This will help us to raise money for items the student body needs as a whole.

Thanks again for investing in my students.”

  • Math, Math, Math

    Funded Jun 19, 2022

This project will support us in our math endeavors. The daily math gives the students great practice each day. The Regrouping chart not only allows me to teach this whole group tactilely, but also allows the students to use this as a center. Giving the students the ability to see the work will assist them in understanding the concept in a concrete way.

The flexible seating has given the students the ability to move around to do their work. They love being able to move their stools around and work at a friend's desk or one of the lower-level tables in the classroom.”

  • Staying Positive

    Funded Jun 7, 2022

I can't thank you enough for the donations to my classroom. The Growth Mindset Journals are an amazing addition to our daily classroom work. The students get to dig in and understand a growth mindset. The introduction story gives them a connection and then they get to expand on their thoughts Tuesday through Friday.

The students really enjoy the new seating. It gives them more places to spread out and do their work. They are sturdy and I can't wait to get more to add the ones that you all provided.”

  • Let's Get Excited About Reading

    Funded Jan 8, 2022

I cannot express how excited my students were when the boxes arrived.  They helped me unpack the books and set them up in our library.  The students shop once a week to trade out books in their book bin.  The students were so excited to shop all of the new titles.  Reading for my class has become so enjoyable with the extended choices.  The students often ask for more time to read and I give it to them.  Thank you for allowing them to be taken away into so many stories and exposing them to new things to learn from books.”

  • Kids Loving to Learn

    Funded Oct 23, 2021

I can't say thank you enough for your support. I was so excited when I saw the materials arrive and could not wait to put them into use. My students have enjoyed using the items. It is allowing them independence and excitement in learning. You will see students reading in the flexible seating chair. Then you will see two different groups of students doing centers using the materials. One group is practicing on math skills. The other group is using the clipboards to anchor their work as they complete the assigned activity.”

The students will use these books not only for independent reading but also for research projects. Learning these skills starts in early elementary. They will improve their reading and writing skills by using text to support information they are researching to give an opinion or persuade their audience. These are the building block skills they will use in upper grade levels and in college. These resources will assist in setting up these elementary students for success in the future. It will help build their reading stamina and assist them in citing resources for evidence.
