Cricut STEM Center/Station
Funded Nov 13, 2024I am excited to share the great impact that the "Stemming with Our Imagination" project has had on our elementary students at Edgewood Elementary School. This innovative initiative has allowed students to engage with technology in a meaningful way, specifically through the use of the Cricut machine and desktop computer. These tools have not only enhanced their creative skills but also provided them with hands-on learning experiences that foster critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. The ability to create various materials and designs has empowered our students to express themselves artistically, making learning both fun and engaging.
The enthusiasm among our students when working with the Cricut and desktop computers is truly contagious. Their faces light up with excitement as they see their ideas come to life through the design process. Students eagerly collaborate, sharing ideas and techniques while experimenting with colors, shapes, and materials. This project has created a vibrant atmosphere where creativity thrives, and students feel a sense of accomplishment with each new project they complete. The opportunity to utilize technology in such a dynamic way has sparked a love for learning and exploration, making a lasting impression on our young learners.
Notably, a specific group of students has particularly flourished through their involvement with the Cricut and desktop computers. Initially hesitant, these students have embraced the creative process and have become enthusiastic participants in the project. By designing and crafting unique materials, they have gained confidence in their abilities and have formed connections with their peers. This transformation has not only enhanced their engagement but has also fostered a sense of belonging within the classroom. Overall, the "Stemming with Our Imagination" project has proven to be a powerful catalyst for growth, creativity, and collaboration among our students at Edgewood Elementary School.”

Your contribution of Reebok sneakers, dance booties, dance tops, white gloves, and white bottoms has made a significant impact on our dancers. With these new items, they can perform with confidence and style, enhancing their overall performance experience.
The quality and comfort of the gear you provided have allowed our dancers to focus on their routines without distractions. The vibrant colors and professional appearance not only elevate their performances but also foster a sense of pride and unity within the team. Funded Oct 7, 2024The student used the donated resources in several ways. I have several examples to share.
I have students that has came to school who was out of Uniform and I was able to provide them with items needed to be in compliance (belts, shirts, and pants. Some student came late to school and missed breakfast and I was able to provide them with a quick snack. This helped keep students focused on their lesson instead of thinking about how hungry they were. Young ladies often came to school in the need of sanitary napkins and a change of clothes if they were soiled throughout the school day. These type gestures made student feel more confident and comfortable throughout the school day.
For Christmas, each resource student was provided with a care bag to help assist with essential needs while they were on their Holiday Break.
Thanks to all donors for this project. It was greatly appreciated.”

Funded Sep 21, 2024First of all, Thanks for the donation. My classroom uses flexible seating in many ways throughout my classroom.
When I am teaching a lesson/testing, students have the choice to either sit in a traditional seat or a non-traditional seat. They are not limited to just sitting in traditional seating anymore. I have realized that some students learn best through being able to move around in their seat, sitting lower to the floor, or in a space that is covered.
The students were excited and very eager to come to my class with the new flexible seating which will improve academic growth and behavior.”

Ms. Palmer
