Engaging Math Lessons
Funded Feb 6, 2025Thank you so much for your generous donations to my classroom! Through your donations, I was able to receive a gift card to Teachers Pay Teachers, which is a site that has so many awesome ready-made activities to use in my class.
The most recent activity that I found on Teachers Pay Teachers was a scavenger hunt to review proportions. The students solved problems and then had to find the answer around the room which led them to another problem. The pictures are of students eagerly participating in the scavenger hunt. This is just one of many cool activities available to me through the site.
Thank you again for helping my classroom be a fun place to learn!!”

Flexible Seating for 6th Graders
Funded Dec 4, 2024Thank you so much for your generous donations to my classroom. My students were so excited when I told them the news that we were getting a few more of their favorite "comfy seats". We now have enough floor seats so that 1/4 of my class can choose to sit in them when we do partner/group work. Sometimes, I use the option of sitting in these seats as a reward too.
We will be able to use these floor seats for years to come since they come with removable covers that can be washed. Your kindness is greatly appreciated by all of us.”

Flexible Seating for Sixth Graders
Funded Nov 28, 2022Thank you so much for fulfilling my project idea for my sixth graders!! My students were so excited to receive these items for our classroom.
Once we opened the boxes, they were eager to put the items to use! We used the brand new clipboards that day!! The students like to use the floor seats to move around the room and the clipboards help them to write when they are not in the traditional desks.
Your generosity has helped my classroom to enjoy the option of seat choice and has given them a comfortable alternative to the traditional classroom seat.”

Mrs. Pryor
Engaging Math Lessons
Funded Feb 28, 2022Thank you so much for supporting my classroom through my "Engaging Math Lessons" project. With your support, I was able to get a gift card to Teachers Pay Teachers.
Teachers Pay Teachers is an amazing site with lessons and activities made by teachers for teachers. I am able to use the gift card to buy a wide variety of activities to use in my regular math class, as well as my Co-taught Math classroom that has various learning abilities.
Some of the activities have included escape rooms, learning stations, BOOM cards, BINGO and learning games. The kids always enjoy these types of activities because it is not just worksheets!
Thanks again for giving my students better opportunities to learn!
With much appreciation,

Funded Nov 30, 2021Thank you so much for your generous donation to our 6th grade classroom! Your generosity helped me to provide the students with materials that help to make our math classroom more interactive for all of the students!
With this project, our class received wireless mice to use with our Chromebooks which makes navigating through online lessons much easier for everyone. We also were able to get a whole new class set of dry erase boards, erasers, and markers which really make working through practice problems a lot more fun!
Thank you again from all of the students in my 6th grade math classes as well as myself!! You helped to put a smile on all of our faces!”

Funded May 4, 2021I am overwhelmed with gratitude for all of your generosity and support for my students! I couldn't be more excited to receive this donation and get started finding cool ideas for my classroom. The gift card to Teachers Pay Teachers will provide me with plenty of options to find engaging math lessons to use both in the classroom and if we have a remote learning day.
It is because of donors like you that we are able to continually be able to meet the needs of our students and make the Baldwin-Whitehall School District a great place to learn!”

Funded May 13, 2019Thank you SO MUCH for your generous donations to my classroom! We are so excited to use the Promethean Board to enhance our learning in math and science class!
We had a bit of a delay with getting the board installed and working in my room, but we are now ready to go.
The students are so excited to try out all kinds of new things each day in class. We are able to interact with our math text book using the board. I award hard-working students with being able to do their work using the board instead of doing paper-pencil activities. I also use the board to conduct mini-lessons for students who need retaught. Our science text book actually has an "Interactivity" lesson where the students totally have to work together to come up with answers to problems given.
None of this would have happened without the donations from all of you! Thanks for making my classroom a place where the students are excited come to everyday and ready to learn!”

Funded Sep 23, 2019Thank you so much for your generosity towards my classroom! Thanks to your donations, I have received floor seats and lap desks for my classroom. With these new materials, we are diving into a flexible seating classroom in which the students can choose to sit at a traditional desk, or take a seat in one of the floor seats to complete their work. This gives the students an opportunity to move a bit in the room and be comfortable while learning!
I must say that the students LOVE these chairs and the lap desks!! I created a system in which they take turns to use these materials, because they are in high demand. I am hoping to get a few different styles of seating to provide the students with even more options for when they get tired of sitting in the traditional seats.
Thanks so much for providing us with this option and helping to make my classroom one that students enjoy coming into each day!!”

Funded Sep 7, 2018Thank you so much for contributing to my classroom project "Math Fun for Everyone!". We received the project materials in September and have been having fun with them ever since!
The box of goodies was delivered to my classroom during math class and the students were just as excited as I was to open the box. I randomly chose two students to open the box and share with the other students what was inside. The class was so excited to get started playing the game! Some students had a little experience playing the game, but most had never played before.
The first group of students that got to play the 24 Challenge game was my Club Time group which met for 6 weeks. This group was made up of 20 kids from 4th and 5th grade in our school who actually chose this club as part of their day. We started at the beginning with learning how to play and what types of strategies are useful, then we played the games. It got pretty intense towards the end of our tournament and Club time!!! Now that Club time is over, I will be playing with my normal math classes, which is about 60 students. They are just as excited to play the game and literally ask me every day if there is time to play "just one round" of the game!!
Thanks again for providing my students with this awesome opportunity to have fun in math class!!”
