The iPad and headphone splitters will be used as a portable listening center. My students are learning two languages: English and Spanish. The iPad will benefit my students greatly because they'll have access to so many books in both languages that are not available in our classroom or our school. Several of my students are struggling readers in either English or Spanish and are not yet at an independent reading level. In addition, many do not have parents who are able to read to or with them at home due to lack of time or books. The listening center will allow them to listen to audio books and improve their literacy as well as love for reading while at school.
