By incorporating technology in the classroom, specifically the Art classroom, the students will expand their resources. These resources will include the capability for students to collaboratively creative stop motion movies. The Sketchbook App will help students practice their drawings with the result of less paper waste. The Daily Art App - gives a daily dose of art history. It shows the image of the piece, gives brief information about the piece and provides a short story about the it. Students will be encouraged to use this new information in the artwork they are working on. In addition to each of the apps students will use the tablets to document their own learning in the art room by taking pictures/videos and uploading those to their Artsonia accounts. Artsonia serves as a digital portfolio. Students will be able to answer questions about their work/process as well as writing an Artist Statement for each piece.
