My students will benefit greatly from the document camera. They will be able to see the thinking of their fellow scholars and their teacher. One of the easiest ways to share this thinking is by projecting the work completed on paper onto a screen where all students can see. For example, when I am reading a piece of text to the class and writing down my thinking on that reading, the document camera will allow students to see my actual writing. This shows them a clear example of how readers interact with text. Having the ability to model my thinking and show students real-time is extremely important for more complex reading skills like making an inference.
