Our third quarter theme is Identity and these books fit in nicely with this theme. Within my classroom, I have students that have different reading levels. Having sets of different books will allow the readers to select a book of their ability and engage in literature circles and book talks. These books will make a difference to students by giving them a voice and choice in their reading. Students need to enjoy what they read and be able to relate to it. Our school has not been able to afford a variety of novel choices for students. This will benefit them immensely.
