Rocking chairs combine movement to help students channel excess energy into classroom focus. These chairs turn disruptive movement into healthy movement. Students who are allowed the opportunity to move will learn better than those who aren't allowed to move. These rocking chairs will allow my most fragile learners the opportunity to capitalize on learning by allowing them to move without being disruptive to their peers. The motion of the rocking chair will accommodate the need for movement while allowing students to focus and learn. Movement increases student engagement and that is the goal of all teachers!! At risk students need the opportunity to move while learning!
