  • Organized Class to Support Learning

    Funded Nov 15, 2021

Thank you for providing me with the materials I need to prepare my preschoolers to develop executive functioning skills and to help them to navigate their way in the preschool class and beyond.

The materials provided helped me to be able to arrange our environment and provide order and structure to the items and activities in the classroom. The students are now able to independently navigate their way around the classroom and know where items belong without it being stressful. This also is allowing my students to focus on learning new concepts.

Thank you very much! I am so grateful!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Nagato

    Funded Aug 6, 2021

Thank you very much for your generous donation and thoughtfulness. Through the use of the iPad and Teacher Pay Teachers digital resources we have been able to take virtual field trips to the farm and zoo. My students enjoyed seeing and learning about the different farm and zoo animals. Can't wait to take another virtual field trip with my students.

We have been learning about empathy on how to make friends and how to respect other. My students are enjoying learning their early learning skills on the iPad.

    Thank you so much!”

  • Keeping My Students Safe and Engaged

    Funded Jul 28, 2021

Thank you very much for providing us with the door gate, play space and all the engaging activities. My students have been having fun and learning with the activities you have provided us. Most of all they have been kept safe with the door gate and play space. As a teacher keeping my students safe and engaged is so important. I am so very appreciative.

When my students first saw the area with the set up of the play safe and various learning toys, they were very eager to go and explore. Each day, they go outside to play they have such big smiles on their faces. I also have a big smile on my face to see them enjoying the activities and most of that they are safe.

In the future, I would like to expand and include an art center with the out door play activities.”

My students who were learning virtually and face to face last school year have returned to school after a long summer. They are surely having a great time using all the gross motor activities and toys that you have so generously provided us.

My students are having so much fun with the step-a-Logs, swing, bouncy animals, tunnels and bubble machines. These items are motivating and encouraging them to move all around all during outside play time. This has been a great outlet for my students.

  • Navigating Learning Through Ipads

    Funded Jun 14, 2021

My students are having fun while learning through the iPads you so generously provided us. iPads are allowing my students to explore and learn from electronic devices.

By using the iPad, they have been gaining knowledge of early learning concepts such as shapes, colors, numbers, alphabet, social skills and higher levels of cognitive thinking.

The iPad has been a great success in teaching my students to manipulate and use iPads independently. Teacher Pay Teachers has provided my students great digital activities to expand their learning.

Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness and generosity.”

  • Distance Learning From School to Home

    Funded Jan 29, 2021

Thank you for providing me the opportunity to set up a lending library for my preschool students. Now they can practice the skills they learned during class time (face to face or distance learners) at home too. I'll be able to send home a book and an activity such as a puzzle or an item made through the use of Teacher Pay Teacher. This will make learning fun and engaging for both my student and parent. My student and their parent will enjoy doing the activities together and at the same time develop skills such as vocabulary, comprehension, communication, following directions, focusing and social skills. I've already sent home some activities and my parents are very grateful.

I am very grateful to you for helping me to provide for my students.”

I would like to create a physical environment that helps meet the educational and behavioral needs of individuals with autism or developmental delays. Very young children or children who have trouble understanding language would also benefit from some of these strategies. However, it is helpful to have knowledge of some common strategies that have been shown to make a positive difference, specifically in the areas of focus and following directions or routines. A distraction free and structured/predictable environment is most conducive to learning and behavior for kids who can become easily distracted, overwhelmed by too much input, have visual perceptual difficulties (e.g., may have trouble visualizing where they are supposed to sit, where their area is in the room is), or kids who have trouble understanding what is expected when given verbal directions (such as those with difficulty processing language). Students with autism or developmental delays can become overwhelmed or overstimulated when presented with too much visual and tactile (things you can touch) information. so it is important to keep the environment as clutter free as you can. Try to have a specific place for things (e.g., toys in a bin, papers and pens in a drawer, etc.) Closed containers on shelves, can be helpful to not be distracted. Keeping materials in book shelves in closed labeled bins, in a certain area of the room (as mentioned above). Label the bins with words and pictures. Have a schedule, written and visual, to allow students to know when they will be using the different areas and what they will be doing throughout the day, and refer to the schedule as your students move through different activities. One way to visually define a student’s space is to use cushions or mats when sitting on the carpet.
