Not everyone learns the same way, so why should they all sit the same way? My very first day of teaching, I could already see that traditional desks were not what my kids needed. Some wanted to lean back in their chairs. I couldn't let them do this, of course, for fear they might fall over and get hurt. Some wanted to sit on the floor, but it was too uncomfortable. Others wanted to stand but, they had to lean over uncomfortably to do their work. This furniture will give them options of how they sit or stand. We need a standing desk and a kitchen island with stools. I don't like seating charts, so students will be able to move around the room and choose what is best for them. My daughter is a stander, and she used to get in trouble when she was in school. I don't want my kids to feel like they can't stand. I want to make sure they have a comfortable place to stand and do their work. Yes, there are always a few exceptions. Some students do like traditional desks and I fully plan on keeping a few of those just for those kids and anyone else who wants to sit in them.
