The snacks have helped provide the nourishment they need to stay focused, energized, and ready to engage in their lessons. When they first saw the snacks, their reactions were filled with excitement and relief—knowing they wouldn't have to worry about being hungry during class made a big impact on their mood and participation.

    The snacks have also been incredibly helpful during our speech therapy sessions. Many of my students are more engaged and able to focus when they're not distracted by hunger. A quick snack before or during therapy has allowed them to be more present and ready to practice their communication skills, improving their overall progress.   • Social Learning & Executive Functional Skills - Essential for Life!

    Thank you for your generous donations to my project. My project was used to purchase materials to address the student's specific executive functioning skills including: planning, organization, time management, task initiation, working memory, metacognition, self-control, sustained attention, flexibility, and perseverance. In addition, Since I was able to download the materials on my computer, I was able to make a folder for each student to address their specific needs.

    My students were excited to use these strategies to help them to stay organize and plan accordingly so that they can succeed in the classroom. They like the idea of having their own personal strategies for each skill they are working on. Some of the students were given hard copies to take home.

    I am sure that learning these skills will help my students succeed in their classes.”

  • Games for Speech, Language & Social Skills Development

    Thank you so much for making my project come to life. When the shipments arrived in my room, my students' eyes lit up with excitement. I started using the games right away and incorporating them to work on students' goals (e.g. labeling of objects, making inferences, phonic skills, articulation, etc.). Now, when they come to the speech room, they are so excited to get started while having fun doing it.

  • Speech Therapy - Getting Middle Schoolers Ready for Life!

    During the pandemic, the supplies have helped my students to learn and grow in an engaging way. I use the materials on a daily basis. The students enjoy multiple meaning cards with a game board. They don't even realize that they are learning the different meaning of the words.

    The sight word cards are a great refresher for my students to help to promote their reading fluency and gain confidence in tackling longer, unfamiliar words. I sometimes use the green screen and have the puppets point at the words that I want the students to decode. It's so much fun!

  • Document Camera Need for Remote Learning!

    Thank you for the document camera. Currently, all of my middle school students are learning from home through teletherapy. The document camera has enable me to help my students feel as if they're learning in the classroom with me. This has made sessions interactive and engaging.

    The document camera has allowed us to utilize similar materials that we would have used in the classroom. The students can view books and reading along with me. They love when we are trying figuring out different story elements: character, setting, plot and climax. They love that we can fill out a graphic organizer to help figure out the main idea of passages. They especially love when find our vocabulary words in word puzzles.

    We can't say thank you enough. This has given my class every opportunity to learn from home. We appreciate your continued support to classrooms everywhere.”

  • Ipads: Helping to Bring Speech Therapy to the New Age

    Thank you so much for your generous gift. As you can see, we have incorporated the Ipads into speech sessions. Some of the students use the Ipads for practicing their sounds at the word, sentence and story levels. The Ipads have allowed them to listen to themselves and self-correct. They are so excited to keep their own data and see progress. Others have used the Ipads to practice their learned strategies and challenge each other through interactive activities like jeopardy and kahoots. For many, this is the first time they are using a tablet, and can't wait to get their hands on them. Once again, thank you for your gift.”
