  • Focus, Organization and Motivation

    Funded Jan 1, 2025

My students were so excited to open the boxes filled with the wonderful items from your generous donation. The classroom is cleaner from the clorox wipes, the desks are more organized from the paper organizer and my back is in less pain from the rolling cart! They also absolutely love the weighted blanket. It helps calm my jumpy students that struggle with sitting for longer periods of time.

Executive functioning is a struggle for many of my students. With clear organization areas defined and learning how to listen to the needs of their bodies, they will become better prepared scholars as they continue to grow.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Joseph

  • 3, 2, 1... Go!

    Funded May 22, 2024

Thank you for your generous donations towards my classroom. Your donation has helped to make learning interactive, engaging and fun. My students are loving the opportunity to get competitive with each other and encouraging each other to participate and do well. They are having a blast.

I am now able to create new lesson plans, prepare them for an exam, teach a new lesson in a brand new format to my students where kinesthetic learning takes part in the facilitation of a lesson. Hopefully this becomes a core memory for them as well as helps short term information turn into long term information.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Joseph

  • Shred It

    Funded Dec 11, 2023

Thank you immensely for your generous donation towards our much needed shredder for the classroom. As a Special Education teacher, I am constantly working on paperwork, forms and assessments with precious student information on them. (student ID, addresses, phone numbers, etc) Confidentiality of everyone involved is of utmost importance and now I have a way to properly dispose of documents immediately myself as opposed to hiding them all until I have the opportunity to find someone with a shredder to do it at a later time.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Joseph

  • Relax and Focus

    Funded Mar 17, 2019

Thank you so much for your donation. I think my staff and I were more excited than our students when we saw the box come in as we knew what was tucked inside. After we pulled it out and admired the blanket, we folded the blanket and set it on the table. Most of our students were finishing their breakfast in the classroom when one of the students wandered over and found the blanket. He proceeded to unfold it and carry it over to where he was sitting for breakfast. He opened up the blanket, arranged it just so, the plaid side up, sat down, meticulously covered his lap and proceeded to eat his breakfast. It was an amazing sight to see as it usually takes multiple redirections to simply sit at the table.

Later on in the day, I pulled the blanket out for everyone to see and touch. I explained the blanket, what it was used for, and talked about how YOU were so amazing as to help us get it. We all then sat down to write you thank you letters. Upon completion, my amazing students all sat down on the carpet for our end of the day wrap up, snuggled together in the blanket, making sure everyone was able to have a piece. Thank you so much for your generosity!!!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Joseph

The current state of my handed down carpet is in need of some major TLC. My students need to be able to have and enjoy a new clean carpet to sit comfortably on to engage in learning. As young children, especially with special needs, they are constantly lying down and rolling around. Both students and teachers need to be able to sit on it without the concern of what that green spot is. The design of the carpet will also aide in classroom management to provide the needed classroom structure. With the size of the carpet, my kids will have plenty of "wiggle room" between each other as well as their "own spot"
