  • Lawn Boy Returns

    In this fast-paced electronic world, I love to think that the art of reading books is not dead. Even in the 4th and 5th grades, students still love for books to be read to them. It often leads to having excellent discussions after the reading is done.

    Having access to Lawn Boy Returns means so much to my 4th-grade class. They were very shy to read aloud at the beginning of the year, but after reading Lawn Boy (original), they are no longer shy. This book has turned my class around. They were so excited to learn they would be able to start this new series. I heard many students even wish they made a movie out of it.”

  • Better to Hear You With

    Thank you for donating the earphones to my students. We use technology daily, so earphones are very important. My students are thrilled to have new earphones to use this year. My students were very appreciative of the new earphones; especially the ones who did not come to school with any supplies. I love that these earphones come with their own carrying case. It has been convenient having those available. Again, I am very grateful for receiving the items. It has been a relief to both myself and the parents of my students.”

  • Keep Us Safe!

    On behalf of the entire 4th grade, we thank you! Everyday after we switch classes, the students know that they have to clean their desk first. Without the products that were donated, all of this would not be possible. This would mean a lot of expense out of my pocket. I as their teacher, am very thankful for every bottle of Germ-X and every Clorox wipe that has been donated. This has definitely helped with keeping the germs from spreading during this pandemic, so therefore it keeps our kids safe!”

  • Books, Books, and More Books

    My class and I cannot express the gratitude you have shown by the donation of our books. Because of your donation, my students will be able to have their own copy of the book. They will also be able to read in groups according to their abilities as well as keeping them safe by having their own book. My students love to read and are always looking for new and exciting adventures to read about. I feel like they are going to really be able to connect with some of the characters in the book. These students have never had the opportunity to read from a book series as a class, so "A Long Way from Chicago" will be a great experience for them.”

  • We Need Supplies

    Thank you so much for the much needed supplies. It is the end of the school year, and by this time we were almost out of everything. The supplies that was given was such a blessing to myself as well as my students. The scissors have especially been helpful since we are doing a lot of hands-on project-based learning on Surviving the Rainforest. My students were so thankful to receive a new pencil sharpener. With having 80 plus students using the pencil sharpener multiple times daily, it has really served its purpose. In the future, now that I have the extra supplies, we plan on having more project-learning to continue this summer during summer school.”

In my computer labs the need is for headphones and ink toner. I have two computer labs that are in need of headphones. In my 2nd-5th grade classes, the students need to be able to have access to headphones in order to understand the instructions from the computer when they are learning how to type. The toner is to print out the progress that the students are making week by week. The students enjoy seeing their progress. Having toner for my printer would help produce the reports faster, instead of having to travel to the office to retrieve them. Receiving these items will be a blessing for everyone of my students.
