  • New Books, New Worlds: Expanding Our Classroom Library

    Funded Oct 3, 2024

I am incredibly grateful for the generous donation of multicultural and diverse children's books that I received for my classroom. These books are not only a valuable resource but also a meaningful way to celebrate the rich variety of cultures and backgrounds represented in my students. Watching their faces light up as they see characters who look like them, share their traditions, and speak their language is truly heartwarming.

The stories spark insightful discussions, and the activities we do around them allow my students to connect with the material in a personal way. These books are more than just stories; they are mirrors and windows into different worlds, fostering a sense of pride and belonging for my students while also opening their hearts and minds to the beauty of diversity. I am deeply thankful for this donation, which enriches both our classroom experience and the lives of my students.”

  • Print... in Color!

    Funded Dec 4, 2023

I am so incredibly grateful and thankful for your help in providing me with a colored printer for my classroom.

I can not put into words how much easier it is now to have access to copies for my classroom. Without this printer, I was constantly waiting for access to our schools copier which frequently gets overwhelmed and broken.

Before having my printer, I would have to pay money to print in color at the public library or Staples. Now, I have the freedom to make learning more engaging for my students. Having a colored printer of my own to use has helped my classroom function so much easier and has made teaching more efficient. I recently used the printer to print out fun literacy and math games, my students were so happy to see the games in COLOR!”

  • Supplies for a Super Year!

    Funded Sep 21, 2023

These supplies have been amazing for my students this year. My favorite resource we received was our new classroom rug. I teach a large population of English Language Learners and a new classroom rug with the alphabet on it has been wonderful. It has helped my students practice their letters and they are able to identify things beginning with each letter. It has boosted their confidence and they are starting conversations with each other!

When students first saw all the new materials, they couldn't believe their eyes. It was such an incredible sight for them to walk in to the classroom with a brand new rug, a new storage tray, scissors, pencil sharpeners, crayons, colored pencils, markers, and so much more!

Your generosity did not go unnoticed and I can't wait to continue using these supplies for years to come.”

  • Amazing Read Alouds for Room 208

    Funded Aug 2, 2023

My classroom is so bright and colorful. Students are seated in groups and love chatting with their group mates or reading books when the time allows. I have a library full of picture books and chapter books as well. With my recent donation of books, I am able to put out a display of seasonal picture books that students LOVE reading! They get excited at the beginning of each new month because they know my classroom decor and seasonal books will change. It's the little things that keep them excited about reading and learning!

All of my students are truly enjoying these new books. They are constantly asking to sit on the rug and read the new books with a partner. We have done while-class read-alouds of The Leaf Thief, The Memory Jar, The Couch Potato, and The Sour Grape. Students are loving the Good Egg series that has The Couch Potato, Sour Grape, Smart Cookie, and Good Egg! I can't thank you enough for your generosity in donating to my classroom. My students and I greatly appreciate you and your support.”

  • With an Easel and Chart Paper We Can Learn Together!

    Funded Aug 17, 2020

Thank you so much for your donation of an easel and chart paper. While teaching completely remote, this easel has made my life so much easier. I had to create a home classroom and this is the perfect addition. I love being able to use it for math, reading, or even writing.

The chart paper has also been amazing because it is sticky on the back and is able to stick to the walls. My students are benefitting from that because they are able to see the wall behind me and reference the anchor charts whenever they need to. We will certainly continue to use the chart paper and easel all year, even if we transition back to a hybrid model.

When my class first found out that these two items were donated specifically for them, they were amazed. We each did a random act of kindness that day after school to continue to pay it forward because we were so humbled by people's generosity during this difficult time. Thank you again for all your support!”

  • Supplies to Start a Super School Year!

    Funded Aug 11, 2020

Thank you so much for your generous donation of all these wonderful supplies. My students and I started the school year fully remote and these supplies have been essential in keeping them engaged at home. Each student got a folder, notebook, crayons, colored pencils, makers, pencil case, and many other supplies to help them with their schoolwork while home.

Many of my students didn't have a pencil or paper to start the school year but since they were able to get these supplies, they are now thriving. Initially, students didn't know they were getting any extra supplies but once they found out what they were getting, they couldn't stop talking about it. Some students even had a countdown going of how many days were left until they got their supplies. That truly melted my heart.

Now that my students have the supplies they need to be successful while learning from home, anything is possible. We are able to do more hands on activities because they have scissors and glue to cut and paste. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart.”

    With gratitude,

  • Supplies to Start a Wonderful Year

    Funded Aug 29, 2018

I would like to personally thank you for donating so many wonderful supplies to my students. When students came to school and realized they had all brand new crayons, markers, binders, folders, and so much more, they were amazed. It taught them the true meaning of kindness and that is something they will always remember. We use the crayons, markers and colored pencils every day and they are being put to good use. Students have homework folders, classwork folders and sheet protectors to keep their materials organized in their binders. We truly thank you for your kindness and generosity. Please know how much my students appreciate your gesture.”

  • Engage, Create, Relax: Misc. Supplies for 3rd Grade Children

    Funded May 21, 2018

Thank you so much for giving such a generous gift to my students. It led to a nice class discussion about being kind and doing the right thing even when no one is looking. I explained to my students that these new ball-chairs were a gift from wonderful people who didn't even know them. They were amazed that there are people in the world willing to help them that they don't even know. Students have learned how to share the new chairs and they enjoy passing them off to another student when their time is up. We truly thank you for your generous donation and please know, they are being put to great use.”

  • A New Rug for Our Classroom

    Funded Apr 9, 2018

Thank you for your generous donation of our new, beautiful classroom rug. The students absolutely love this new addition to our classroom. It brings color to our reading area and a warm, cozy feeling for students to sit and read a book. My students were in disbelief when they first saw their new classroom rug. They all enjoy reading and listening to stories on the rug. We have classroom discussions, reading groups, and many other activities on our new rug. Without you, my classroom would not be as bright and welcoming because we would not have the addition of our new classroom rug.”
