These materials will make a big impact in my classroom. While my students are using the light table, they can use the letter manipulatives to spell out their names or their friends names. Students can also put the letters as well as numbers in order. I can not wait to see their faces light up when they see and work at the light table. Students will use the pegs and peg boards to make different patterns using the colored pegs. Students can also use the different tubs of manipulatives to create masterpieces and different designs and structures. There is so much that the students in my classroom will use this table and manipulatives for. These different tubs/manipulatives will help with both literacy and mathematics. Students will also be able to use the iPads/cameras to take pictures of what they did at the light table center. Students will also document what they did with the light table in thier journals.
