  • Stem Is So Much Fun!

    Funded Apr 7, 2025

Using our own lego designs and student made race cars we are having exciting racing competitions. We are constantly modifying the cars so it makes each experience unique. Personalizing the cars adds to the fun.

We LOVE the cordless cutter. My students love the ease and I love the safety features. We are constantly using this with all of our STEM challenges. It really works. They are asking to use it nonstop. I wished I ordered more of them. We are able to prototype significantly faster. My students accuracy and designs have significantly impoved.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Nasso

  • STEMtastic Designs

    Funded Feb 14, 2025

We are having an amazing time with the Blu Track sets. Using our own lego designs and matchbox race cars we are having exciting racing competitions. Having a long track that can be constantly modified makes each experience unique. Painting and personalizing the wooden cars adds to the fun.

We LOVE the cordless cutter. My students love the ease and I love the safety features. We are constantly using this with all of our STEM challenges. It really works. I wished I ordered more of them. We are able to prototype significantly faster.

We have been using the acrylic sheets for making our own personalized LED fixtures. Usually this a reward for winning a STEM challenge.”

  • Lasers are Awesome

    Funded Feb 8, 2022

Using the latest technology has highly motivated my students. Their curiosity and engagement has increased. This makes teaching easier because of the fun that this has created.

They are amazed that they are using lasers in their classroom. They were impressed on the size and the speed of the machine. The accuracy of the machine made it very helpful when they were creating their models. Protyping is quick.

All of the students are eager to create something. Most students have never seen a real laser let alone use one to create a project.”

  • Taking Laser Engraving to the Next Level

    Funded Dec 15, 2021

My students are learning how to create design objects using LightBurn software. Laser engraving is amazing way to demonstrate how far technology has become. It embodies many fields, such as technology, construction and the arts.

My students are highly motivated and excited. They can not wait to start creating their artistic and personalized designs and then seeing it eventually becoming a real object.

Most of the students have never come across a laser engraver before. They are amazed on how something that they created digitally can eventually become a real tangible object. Watching them, watching the engraver in anticipation, creates a feeling of immense pride.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Nasso

This classroom project was brought to life by Young Sheldon on CBS and 3 other donors.
  • Having Fun Printing in 3D

    Funded Nov 24, 2021

My students are learning how to create 3D printed objects using Sketchup and Tinkercad software. 3D printing is the future. It embodies many fields, such as technology, medicine, construction and engineering.

My students are highly motivated and excited. They can not wait to start creating their designs and then seeing it eventually becoming a real 3D model.

  • Great Digital Resources

    Funded Aug 13, 2021

My students have been having fun with the our STEM challenges. They are excited and motivated to come in to class and to start working on their designs.

We were able to access the many STEM activities that can be found online as well from dedicated teachers from Teachers pay Teachers.

Students are now testing their engineering skills and are surprised on how well they are doing. They eagerly wait and anticipate the future endeavors. They realize that careful planning, and with the help of online resources can dramatically affect their learning.”

  • Having FUN Creating Our Own Designs

    Funded Mar 30, 2021

Thank you so much. My students were able to decorate some of their laptops with personalized stickers. They also created a sticker using our school logo.

They were amazed when I told them that we have a cricut joy. They started to brainstorm on what they wanted to personalize. They were happy to see that using the software was quite intuitive and easy to use. the quality and the speed of the machine made it easy so that all of my students were able to personalize an object of their choice.

What I would like to do next is try to personalize and decorate my classroom with their work. I would also like for them to create their own logo that tells about them.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Nasso

  • There Is Nothing Better Than LASERS

    Funded Dec 1, 2020

My students have been using the laser engraving for creating resource materials for our assignments as well as showing their artistic creativity. We have made Pangaea models representing the Earth's early history. Students are able to physically represent the model and construct how the Earth was formed in the past. Models of the skeletal system have been a great hands on approach to understand the construction of our anatomy.

My students were amazed that we are able to have our very own laser engraver. They were impressed on the size and the speed of the machine. The accuracy of the machine made it very helpful when they were creating their models.

I am hoping that my students can use this to create their own fossil designs and reconstruct how some of the organisms in the past might have looked like. They are also going to "create" their own organisms to illustrate the ideas of adaptations as well.”

  • 3D Printing is Awesome!

    Funded Nov 6, 2020

My students still have the ability to use cutting edge technology remotely. Students can freely create their designs and then able to send the files to me to be printed.

Now my students can taker their creative visions and produce something tangible. 3D printing allows students to take a design on a computer design and then print it out in 3D.

My students engineering skills and artistic skills have increased. Students are excited because that they can benefit from this technology in other subjects. They are are able to create models and artifacts.

I am happy to say that many my students are proud to share their designs.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Nasso
