We have a kitchen at our school designated for our students. Unfortunately, we only have the big stuff- a refrigerator, a microwave, dishwasher, oven, washer, and dryer. We need baking materials, and utensils to give our students the ability to cook some yummy meals and practice their life skills. We ask for cookie sheets so our student can make cookies and reposteria for the class and our school staff. Bringing in our students and our culture to the classroom is very important. We chose the blender to help student combine ingredients, practice measurement and create healthy meals. We also ask for plates, utensils, cups, and place mats to teach them about proper table etiquette and practice fine motor skills to feed themselves. A vacuum cleaner and cleaning supplies will help our students prepare for the future as they learn to clean up after themselves. We want to make sure our students are well equipped to deal with life's challenges as we prepare them for the future.
