  • Printing is Necessary For First Grade Learners

    Funded Sep 29, 2022

Having a printer in my classroom has benefited us tremendously. We are able to have copies made when necessary and we can print work in the classroom for the children to have. I no longer have to wait days for copies to made or hope that the copy machine works. I am now able to do all of this within my own classroom. The students have benefited because I can print worksheets out for them when needed to help support a lesson that was taught. The printer is exactly what we needed. We are truly thankful for your generosity.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Anderson

  • Necessary Classroom Supplies

    Funded Feb 3, 2021

Thank you so much for all of your generous donations. These supplies will benefit both me and my students greatly. It has been a very difficult year and any help for my students and my classroom will go a long way. I’m so excited to receive these supplies and put them to use in my classroom.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Anderson

  • Supplies Go A Long Way!

    Funded Jan 20, 2020

Thank you so much for funding this project. The supplies that we will receive will go a long way for my young learners. The printer paper/copy paper will be so beneficial because now I will be able to print resources from online and use them in the classroom. Also the permanent markers will be very useful when making anchor charts for my young readers and writers.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Anderson

  • Activities All Around!

    Funded Apr 11, 2018

Thank you so much for your very generous donation. With your donation I was able to purchase pop up centers for my students. The centers are all literacy based and the students are so thrilled to be at the centers working. Each center has a specific focus. For example there is a phonics center and a writing center. During literacy time the students have an opportunity to work small groups in the centers. It gives the students an opportunity to work together on activities that interest them.

Also, I was able to purchase printing paper with your donation and ink for our classroom printer. Unfortunately, the teachers are not given printing paper and we have to purchase our own. Having printing paper available really benefits us because we can print projects or assignments off the Internet. Also, ink for the printer is must and it can be very costly. Having ink available is great for the students because they can print their work out.

Thank you so much again!! Your donation is very greatly appreciated.”

  • Keeping Our Books Together

    Funded Mar 28, 2018

Thank you so much for making your donation to our classroom. First grade is a crucial year for our young students. It is the year they become readers. Many of our students come into first grade without knowing how to read and by the middle of the year they become readers. It is an amazing grade to teach and to see the growth these young children make.

It is essential that in first grade we have an abundance of books and a variety of genres for the students to choose from. Many of these books are given to the teachers and then never replaced. It is very important for the teachers to try to keep the books we have in very good condition. With your donation we are now able to have sturdy baggies to keep our books in.

The students take home books each day and with our new book baggies, that were donated by you, the students now have a safe place to keep their books. The baggies help to keep the books together and in one place. Also, the baggies are made of quality plastic and protect the books from being bent and getting wet. These baggies are a real life saver in first grade both for the students and for the teacher. Thanks again for your donation. It is truly appreciated.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Anderson

My students are young learners and they tend to struggle with organizational skills. The book baggies will help keep their books organized and in one spot. The baggies will also help prevent damage to the books which are difficult to replace. The baggies will be placed on the back of their seats so that they have easy access to them when they are ready to read. Many of the students either misplace the books or they shove them in their desks and ruin them. My classroom library gets smaller and smaller towards the end of the school year. My students need a variety of books to help strengthen their literacy skills. These baggies would definitely help minimize the lose of books and damage to books.
