Write, Erase, Repeat: Engaging Learning with LCD Boards
Funded Nov 13, 2024Thanks to the generous support of you, our donors, the addition of LCD writing screens to our classroom has significantly enhanced our teaching and learning experiences. These innovative tools have transformed how my students engage with the material and collaborate with one another.
We are using the LCD writing screens in a variety of ways across different subjects. One specific project involved a collaborative writing exercise where students worked in small groups to solve algebraic equations. Each group used an LCD writing screen to show their work and solve the equations. This interactive format encouraged creativity and allowed students to visualize their thoughts while receiving immediate feedback from their peers.
When my students first saw the LCD writing screens, their excitement was palpable! They were immediately drawn to the bright displays and the ability to write and erase easily. Many of them exclaimed how cool it was to use technology for writing, and they quickly gathered around the screens to start experimenting. Their enthusiasm was contagious, and it set a positive tone for our learning activities.
As we continue to integrate the LCD writing screens into our lessons, the next steps for my students involve using these tools for math problem-solving and collaborative projects. We plan to host a math "challenge day" where students will use the screens to work on complex problems together, sharing their strategies and solutions with the class. Additionally, we will incorporate peer review sessions for their writing projects, allowing students to provide constructive feedback while utilizing the screens for real-time edits and revisions.
The support from our donors has made these enriching experiences possible, and we are incredibly grateful for your investment in our classroom.”
