Many of my students struggle to sit still during lessons due to sensory needs or physical development challenges. This makes it hard for them to engage in group activities and circle time. Flexible seating options could help them participate more comfortably and actively. They need hands-on materials, visual supports, manipulatives, and motivators to grasp concepts and engage in learning. A felt board could effectively organize materials for lessons like calendar activities, story time, and math, helping reduce feelings of frustration. For students developing their writing skills, a whiteboard would provide an elevated surface that encourages practice. A dot book could enhance engagement at home and school, reinforcing skills and connecting parents to their child’s learning journey. Colored bins for individual materials would empower students to identify their belongings, building confidence.
