Helpful Headphones
Funded Oct 17, 2018My students enjoy using their headphones. They use their headphones to accomplish goals while using their pads.Every day they log on an on-line reading program. This program reinforces what they have learned in small and whole group activities.
The headphones assists them to focus on what they are learning.
Throughout the day they go back to their iPads to research. They put on their headphones, so they don't disturb their neighbor.
Also, by having their own headphones they are learning responsibility. It is their responsibility to keep their headphones clean and to secure them with their other belongings.
My students appreciate your kindness. They know that their are people who care about their education.”

Funded Mar 27, 2018Thank you for funding our project. My students immediately began using the rug as a place to learn and relax. Sometimes they snuggle up on it with a good book or play educational games. The rug reminds some of them of a comfortable spot they have at home where they read or do their homework. The reading rug also doubles as the place where we hold our class meetings to discuss
Issues that are of interest . My students like to share their photos and other things during show and tell time while sitting on it.The warm colors of the rug are very comforting to them. During math time,I refer to the rows and columns of the rug when teaching about area.In the near future, I will refer back to the rows and columns when these second graders are introduced to multiplication.
As you can see the reading rug is not just for reading. It is a very useful classroom tool.
Thank you for caring about my students.”

Funded Aug 4, 2017Thank you so much for donating headphones. My students have already used them in this new school year. The headphones allows them to independently use their iPad for research. They research topics that are introduced to them in their literature. Some were fascinated to find out that it was George Washington who requested Betsy Ross to sew the first American flag. They watched and listened to videos about George Washington and Betsy Ross. This experience gave them perspective into The forming of our nation.
Each time they use these headphones, I remind them if your generosity.”
With gratitude,
Mr. L.
