By monthly science magazines coming into the classroom, I will be able to use these magazines to teach the world of science through literacy. Not only are the students learning something new, but they are working on their literacy skills as well. Scholastic gives students relevant and real world information to read along with some good lesson and phenomena to teach about. When my students hear that we are going to read about something they moan and groan. Reading is not fascinating to them, but through the help of Science World magazines, they will have new and interesting topics to learn about, all while learning the concepts they need to learn.
