No Stopping us Covid - We Worked Hard, We Earned Snacks
Funded Apr 22, 2021My students and I really appreciate the snacks that we have received. It came just in time and students were able to enjoy, relax and have their snacks. Thank you so much.
Students were extremely grateful when they were able to receive snacks throughout testing and at the end of the school year. They were eager to share that they have been working hard and so they appreciate the snacks. Some were eager to select their favorite snacks while doing their Text Dependent Analysis (TDA) in writing. Students mentioned that it helped them to be comfortable and relaxed which is fantastic news. I can't thank you enough for this kind gesture, but please know my students and I appreciate it.”

Level Up In Reading
Funded Apr 15, 2021Thank you for allowing my students to get the wonderful opportunity of enhancing their reading levels. It is an indescribable feeling when your students are jumping for joy because they now have books at their level. This motivated them to continue reading as well as to challenge each other to get to the next level.
The type of text that we have received have also broaden students' horizon to reading more non-fiction text. In addition, students are able to share and relate their experiences related to the books as well as new information.
Again, thank you for your contribution. We appreciate it and it will definitely be used with fidelity.”

Funded Mar 15, 2021A huge thank you from my students and I for the cleaning supplies. The kids have been working really hard to ensure that their environment is clean and safe. We have leaders each day willing to ensure that wipes are used to clean their devices, as well as their work area. Thank you so much. You have helped us tremendously in ensuring that we have a safe and clean environment for learning. Some of my students even started to take the initiative to monitor the wipes, as well as paper towels to let me know when we are running low. As a result of us receiving our supplies more students have returned for face to face classes as parents are cognizant that we are doing our best to ensure the health and safety of the students. A million thanks again from my students and I.”

Funded Feb 23, 2021A million thanks and appreciation to you for your kind gesture. By your amazing contribution I am now able to see my virtual students when I am teaching. They are now better able to participate, as well as interact during the lesson. I am positive that their confidence level has increased now that I am able to see, greet and guide them throughout the lessons.
My face to face students were excited that I am now able to see the virtual students as they knew how I had been struggling to ensure that I could meet the needs of all students. You have made my entire year with your kind gesture. My students and I thank you for this great opportunity. My class leaders are now using the podium to share updates and they find great joy in using the podium to speak. My students are definitely leaders in making and you have not just assisted my virtual students but you have given my students the opportunity to also find and use their voice. Thank you so much.”

Read to Lead!
Funded Feb 23, 2021Thank you so much for gifting us with the gift of books. Books can never be enough and my students and I found great joy in unpacking the boxes of books. Some students started reading immediately, and was excited to share that they could not wait to explore the new books. We started looking at a variety of informational text that was provided to us and students were able to sufficiently analyze the texts given. Students could be heard in small groups sharing their excitement, and what new things they have discovered while they were just on the second page.
Excited and Overjoyed are words that I would use to describe my students as they were collaborating with their peers. Students especially enjoyed the Third Grade Book of Words. We have been working on our vocabulary in class and some students were able to "breeze through" the books as they have been doing extensive vocabulary building. Thank you for shining an even brighter light in my students' eyes, where they are able to continue to develop that zeal and love for reading and words. We appreciate your kindness and we are sending many thanks.”

Readers Build Leaders
Funded Dec 2, 2020Thank you so much for this wonderful opportunity. You have brought a spark back into my students' eyes that started going dim. My students are able to read books that are on their Fountas and Pinnel(F&P) level, and it is refreshing when you are able to see students identify their book level, as well as is excited to read and share what level they are on.
When students arrive at school they begin reading; since receiving our library I no longer hear the words "I can't read that book or it's too hard." Students are now able to engage in books at and above their level and they are willing to share their excitement when they have advanced in reading at another level. Thank you for that awesome feeling.”

Funded Dec 1, 2020Many many thanks from my students and I. My students started receiving their rewards/awards during the Christmas break. It was such an amazing feeling that I was able to give each student a reward for their hard work and dedication. The task that they have been given seems difficult during this pandemic, but their smiles were worth it.
When the items arrived at the school they were all eager to assist with pulling the boxes; when they started seeing the medals and stickers they started screaming "yaay" and "Can I get one now?"Whispers could also be heard among students discussing how many A's, who have been reading and how many things they would be getting. It was a fun filled and exciting day.
My next step is to continue to identify more ways that I can help my students grow and blossom each day.”

Funded Nov 20, 2020Thank you so much for donating to my class. We are truly grateful and appreciative. My students and I are thoroughly enjoying our TeacherPayTeacher gift card that was donated. It is helping the students understand topics clearly in a variety of subject areas. With the activities that we are now using in class it is providing more interactivity, and lifelike functionality of lessons whether the students are virtual or face to face. When my students started learning about Physical Map of the Earth they were astonished and fascinated by the different views and angles of the Earth; when they had to explore Earth's physical features through PowerPoint activities that were linked through Google Earth. Words like amazing, awesome and how did they do that were some of the words echoed by the students, as well as their expressions were priceless.
My students reaction when I told them that we received donation for a gift card was one of confusion, as initially they did not see me with a card; when I showed them the card digitally they laughed and asked if it was real, as it was on the computer. They were excited when we were exploring activities that we would be using the card to purchase. They could not believe persons had donated so much money to help with our lessons. They all expressed many thanks.
My next step is to continue providing support and guidance to all students in the learning environment. I want to ensure that they are being provided with the best opportunity and resources as much as possible. If I see a need I will continue to embark on the journey to helping them reach their highest potential. Thank you so much.”

Funded Jun 16, 2020If you could only see the joy on the students' faces when they came to collect their snacks you would have been in awe. Their parents were so appreciative, and they expressed many snacks as they had a few more snacks; for those that did not have any snacks at home they were saying many many thanks, because this has really helped them significantly.Assisting these students and their parents really meant a lot assisting them in a very small but significant way.
I plan to continue to try and get additional help and suppprt for the students at my school, we never know what the students and parents are going through especially during this difficult time, so I will continue to seek help and support. Thanks again. I appreciate it”

Comfy Read
Funded Nov 7, 2019Thank you so much. My students and I are so appreciative of your kind donation. They are now super eager to be reading in the library area, and those who were a bit reluctant are excited to be cuddling with the pillows and reading. They said reading with the pillows make it fun and enjoyable and they feel relaxed.
When the package first came I didn't tell them what it was, when I started unwrapping and they saw the various colors they were so excited. They started shouting and clapping. They each wanted one to hold. It was a teary eyed moment. They were so appreciative and they did a video. They were overjoyed and filled with gratitude.
My next with my students is to get more reading books into the library area, so that they can continue reading and enjoy reading. In addition, I want to incorporate our pillows into other subject areas to help my students feel a bit more comfortable while learning.”

Ms. Walters
