Our school is fortunate to have access to a therapy dog. Trixie works with students identified by the staff as at risk due to lagging skills in reading or self-control. Students work with Trixie on a one-on-one scale. We want Trixie, our therapy dog, to impact more students in a more profound way! We hope to do this through the use of researched-based tools and strategies provided in the workbooks and texts on our wishlist. Armed with better ideas, data collection and tools of the experts, we believe more students can benefit and grow from animal-assisted therapies at our school.
