  • Learning Math Is Fun!

    Thank you so much for your donations. Our class excelled when it came to place value due to the manipulatives provided by all of you. The students were so excited to learn and much more motivated because of these resources. After a year of learning virtually it is vitally important that all students have accessibility to materials in person that were not an option during virtual learning. This has helped students make up for time lost and make so much progress in their math skills. Thank you for supporting our learning and thinking about our students here at Whittier!”

It has been shown that hands-on learning is one of the best ways for students to retain and use the information they have learned. This is especially important in math class. All of the resources I selected will be used for hands-on learning especially during our math centers. These resources will support my students in their understanding of place value, fractions, and decimals. Fourth-grade math is an exciting year with lots of new concepts! As a teacher, I want to make this learning process as exciting and comfortable as possible. As a first-year teacher, it can be a challenge to build up the collection of resources that are needed for optimal student learning. These materials will help me as an educator to provide my students with the quality education they deserve. By supporting this project, you will be supporting fourth-grade bilingual learners in their new math journey!
