Many students in my class spend a minimum of 10% of their school day just struggling to sit in chairs. These are the very students who need every second available to concentrate on improving their literacy skills for maximum success. ADHD, developmental delays, emotional and social difficulty all make it hard to sit in a conventional chair.
With flexible seating (balance balls seats) options for these students, they will gain back the time, focus, self-esteem and enjoyment that are necessary to succeed in school. So they can sit to become the readers, writers, mathematicians, and leaders of tomorrow, they need you to stand up for them.
