Our second graders have been incorporating agriculture into some of our Science lessons. We have been visiting a local Farm a couple times a month. Recently we have been reading about children that have made a difference in their communities. In this unit we are also writing about how a community garden, playground or park would benefit the community. We are planning a school beautification garden. In this project not only will we learn more about plants and the growing process but how plants benefit us all while team bonding.Please help support us in getting some planting supplies to make this project a huge success. We are asking for some tools such as shovels and weed blocker to use in planting. In additional to the tools we are requesting a hose so that we are able to maintain the flowers. We are excited to turn our ideas into reality!
