Traditional seating is not the best option for all students. Flexible seating allows students the opportunity to choose an area to sit where they will learn best. These different types of seating will provide my students with opportunities to sit where they can focus and engage in the learning process. They can choose a place where their bodies and brains can be challenged to work and learn in different ways. In addition, they will learn to make appropriate choices for them, which helps them become successful learners in my classroom. By donating to this project, you will be providing my amazing first graders with the opportunity to choose where they can sit and engage in their learning, whether on ball chairs or wobble chairs. Motivation and engagement lead to learning and success. I am excited to help my first graders learn how to choose the learning environment which works best for them.
