  • Engaging English Language Learners

    Funded Oct 4, 2024

Thank you so much for supporting my project, Engaging English Language Learners. The stand I received to hold my interactive whiteboard is amazing. I am able to move my whiteboard when needed so students can see it in various parts of the classroom. The stand allows the whiteboard to be at the students' level, enabling students to utilize the whiteboard during class instruction. Students can reach the board and can participate using the board. This makes learning more interactive and engaging. All of my students eagerly wait for their turn to use the board. Thank you so much for bringing learning alive in my classroom.”

  • A Seat at the Table

    Funded Sep 21, 2024

Thank you so much for funding my project, "A Seat at the Table." With class sizes growing this year, having enough seating for each student was a challenge. Adding another table to our classroom has made managing table groups so much easier. Now, students are not all cramped sitting together and invading their classmates' personal space.

I am very grateful for donors like you who support public school teachers and their students. Your contributions are extremely appreciated. Having support for classroom basics and sometimes little extras helps to make my job so much more rewarding.”

  • Hooray for Headphones for ELL Students

    Funded Sep 21, 2024

Thank you so much for supporting this project. We use our new headphones every day. It is great for students to have working headphones that actually fit their heads. My students are so proud of their new headphones.

These headphones allow my students to hear the stories being read to them or work on their iPods and be able to hear the questions being asked. The quality is amazing. I numbered each headphone so students can be responsible for their own set. When finished students place their headphones inside a zippered bag then into our headphone carts.

Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to provide my students with working headphones.”

  • The Write Start for Kindergarten

    Funded Aug 25, 2024

Thank you so much for funding this project that provided writing journals for my students. We use our writing journals three to four times per week. The students are learning how to illustrate, write simple sentences, and respond to a given prompt. Already I have seen an improvement in my students' abilities to draw and write letters or simple sight words.

My students truly love using their journals to express their thinking and share their stories. After writing, we do a share-out. This is when students share what they wrote with their classmates. This provides students the opportunity to talk and express their thoughts.

I am so excited about the progress my students have made. Thank you”

  • Interactive Learning for SMART ELL Learners

    Funded Jul 13, 2024

I am so amazed at how much this project has increased my student engagement. Students are all wanting an opportunity to use the interactive whiteboard. The interactive whiteboard has brought learning to life in my classroom. We can write directly on the board over our worksheets. Students can manipulate or drag items on the screen or write with a pen. The ability to tap the screen and write directly on it is amazing.

Thank you so much for helping to fund my ultimate dream project. This project has changed the way I teach and how my students access their learning. They are more focused and have a desire to interact.”

  • Welcome to Kindergarten

    Funded Aug 14, 2024

Thank you so much for supporting this project for my new students this school year. Having the new curtains on the doors and window have been amazing. The curtains block the bright sunlight in the mornings allowing students to not see a glare on our board. They also help keep other students from looking into our classroom and distracting the students.

The white board markers are essential tools we use daily. Having a good supply of markers is amazing. Thank you so much for supporting us this school year and helping us get off to a great star.t”

  • Fun with Phonemic Awareness

    Funded Jul 4, 2024

Thank you so much for supporting my Fun with Phonemic Awareness project. We use the Heggerty program daily. Having access to the phonemic awareness videos is such a blessing. My students are learning the vital phonemic awareness concepts to start them on the road to becoming readers. I am truly grateful to have access to this daily video-instructed program.

The Secret Stories app is also a great learning to tool to use with my students. My students love learning the secrets of specific letters and vowels. Thank you so much for your support.”

  • Decodable Books for Emergent Readers

    Funded Apr 16, 2024

thank you so much for funding my decodable books for emergent readers project. This project gave me the supplies I needed to purchase and print books for my students. My students loved having their own books that they could read, color, and find the sight words they were learning. The books were kept in a book box at school, and then sent home with them at the end of the school year.

This year, my class has already started making and collecting their books for the school year. These decodable books help my students as the become readers. Having enough ink for the printers is an invaluable resource. Thank you so much for this support.”

I teach at a very low socio--economic school. The majority of my students are second language learners. More than 3/4 of my class is on free or reduced lunch. Asking our families to help with fundraisers is out of the question. My students love school, they love to learn and are eager to learn.
