I am the coach of the Woman's Basketball program and also a special education teacher at the school. These student athletes work hard in their classes, and also on the court. Some come from broken homes and cannot afford shoes for basketball. No matter what, they don't complain about what they don't have and they continue to show up and work to improve their skills. These team shoes will help in a major way for the female student athletes. It will build their confidence within themselves and also have them feel like they belong to something positive. All of these athletes deserve an equal opportunity, and this would be one step in the right direction to achieve that goal. Thank you for your contributions to the team. Go Jets!
