Fine Motor Friends
Funded Jan 18, 2022Thank you for contributing these fine motor materials to our classroom. As you can see, the foam rollers came in handy for our latest ocean life mural and collage. The children used the rollers to create foamy, textured ocean waves. We also used the tempera paints to explore feelings, rhythm and painting along to different types of music. Moreover, we placed the nesting dolls in the dramatic play center for the children to practice zipping, buttoning and snapping as they care for the dolls. We will continue to enjoy and use these fine motor materials.”

Discovery Table for Sensory Play
Funded Apr 18, 2022The new sensory table is a classroom favorite. Six children are able to comfortably share and play together at a time. We filled the table with soil, seeds, gardening tools and pots during our plant theme, and we recently added sand for a summer ocean theme. The children return to the sensory table throughout the day for exploration. It is also a calm, soothing place for the children when they need some focused quiet time. The children benefit socially and emotionally while also engaging with important math and science concepts. We appreciate your generous donation!”

Funded Dec 20, 2021The materials you helped bring into our classroom are well loved and used. The dollhouse is a daily collaborative play experience, and the children are so creative with it. One of the children made a larger tabletop using magna-tiles for the bear's dinner! The shimmery skirts are worn all day long, especially during dance and singing performances. The role play uniforms are also worn daily. Look at our firefighters on duty with the accompanying photos. Thanks so much for bringing joy and smiles to our students.”

We've Got the Rhythm!
Funded Dec 11, 2021Thank you for bringing more musical experiences into our classroom. The children enjoy forming a band and playing the various instruments together. They are especially fascinated by the tongue drums. It becomes a lively experience during group and free choice play as the children explore and create sounds together. They return to the instruments throughout the day as an engaging way to connect with one another and their natural curiosities to discover and experiment. These instruments continue to bring so much happiness!”

Young Reader Theme Collection
Funded Dec 1, 2021Thank you for contributing to our young readers club! The children are so engaged during classroom read-alouds, free choice library time and quiet rest with the new book selections. We've created lots of drawings and art inspired by the books. They especially loved the surprising bird and cricket sounds from two of the stories, which enhanced the magic of our reading experiences. Right now, we are reading Hello, World! My Body as we learn about healthy foods and the five senses. We can't wait to dive into more of our favorite books together!”

Magna-Tile Masters
Funded Feb 18, 2022The children love the new magna-tile sets, especially with the addition of animals and moving pieces. They blend the sets together to create a variety of unique structures, and it has really expanded their designs. The children use the sets daily, and they build much interest in the science center during free choice play. The artic and jungle sets will be a great resource for our upcoming animal and habitat themes as the children explore and make connections. We truly appreciate your generosity and continued support.”

Funded Aug 13, 2021Thank you so much for contributing to our classroom sensory supports. The weighted red dog and magnetic color sorting board are the biggest hits. The children treat the dog as a classroom pet, and it provides a soothing presence for them. The children also go to the library when they need some quiet space and utilize the magnetic board and Alphabet beading set. The kinetic sand provides an engaging sensory experience for the children and helps to increase focus and expand play, especially for some of our learners with special needs.”

Funded Dec 1, 2021The children love their new library sofa! We made the space extra cozy for the cold days ahead with a pretend fireplace. The children snuggle up with a favorite stuffed animal and a good book. They've also been bringing over our mugs from the dramatic play center and sipping on pretend warm hot cocoa as they enjoy their quiet time. Next up, we're going to transform the sofa into a puppet theater as we retell some of our favorite winter stories. We appreciate your contributions and are so excited about these changes.”

Young Science Explorers
Funded Dec 1, 2021The children are thrilled with the new science center materials, and it is a favorite gathering place for everyone. The children enjoy building trucks and houses with the magna-tiles. They also see how many counting bears they can fit inside their structures before they fall down. Moreover, the binoculars are getting good use at the classroom window. We will be taking them to the park this week. The puzzles have also been a great addition as we transition from fall to winter and discuss seasonal changes. Thank you for your support!”
