  • Let's Learn Some Science!

    Funded Apr 26, 2025

This is Amazing! I wasn't sure if this project would receive enough support to earn full-funding. Thank you so much for your generous donations to our classroom. I am excited to introduce all the wonderful science learning tools to our preschoolers that your incredible generosity has provided for our kiddos. Thank you again.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Madderra

  • Let's Learn Some Math!

    Funded Feb 14, 2024

Thank you so much for all of the amazing math supplies you have helped us purchase for our preschoolers! It was so much fun opening the boxes to oohs and aahs! You would have thought it was Christmas morning! We were ready to play with everything.

We are currently working on sorting and we have been having so much fun sorting fruit, bugs, wild animals, farm animals, ocean animals, and dinosaurs into color groups. We have enjoyed playing with the magnets and working on our numbers with our ten frame boards. In our Manipulatives area, we are making shapes on our geoboards with our brand new rubber bands.

The cookie matching game is ready for play in the playhouse area, and in our science area we have the matching snap dinosaurs, and our measuring worms activity.

Thank you again for your generosity in providing our littlest learners the opportunity to make learning math fun. I am so excited to share these resources with future classes!”

    With gratitude,

  • We Need the Basics!

    Funded Dec 31, 2022

Our students were so happy to open up the boxes full of supplies that you so graciously donated to our classroom. We had so much fun seeing all the new materials, and using them in the classroom. We used the cardstock and the Velcro dots to laminate children's photos on our job board as well as area markers to help of keep track of how many friends could be in each area. The gel marker crayons were a huge hit, and they smelled like real fruit too! We used the beads to make necklaces for our moms and dads. The lacing strings were used to help our fine motor skills and help us make cheerio necklaces. The watercolor diffuser paper was used to make some lovely flowers for display in our room, and the children got to see first hand colors mixing into each other with a fantastic result.

Thank you again for your support of our classroom helping me to provide some basic necessities for the students.”

  • Reading is FUNdamental!

    Funded Oct 11, 2022

Thank you so much for supporting our "Reading is FUNdamental" project. The response from both parents and students have been wonderful. Parents are enjoying taking home the Scholastic weekly readers and reading with their children, and have come back to school excited to have this take home opportunity. The children are also enjoying the classroom books ordered. It is so fun to find them curled up in the quiet cube with a new book, or reading with a friend. I have one little friend that excitedly runs to the classroom library center every morning when she arrives to see what new books are out to look at. Thank you again for supporting early literacy at school and at home for my preschool students. You are greatly appreciated!”

  • Healthy Me!

    Funded Sep 27, 2022

Thank you so much for you generous donation to our "Healthy Me" project to help preschoolers learn the benefits of healthy eating. We were able to place activities in EVERY area of the classroom. It is so fun watching students explore different types of food in the playhouse and ask teachers what items are like oatmeal and Cantaloupe. We have begun talking about the different food groups and what items are included in these groups. In the math center students are having fun with the food dominoes matching fruits and veggies. In our science center we have placed the magnetic placemat, and talked about healthy choices for meals throughout the day.

In the book area we have placed the food groups books and are able to read about what is in each group, and learn about health values for different items. The pitcher set has proven valuable to make sure students have access to water at all meals, as well as teaching students how to pour water into a cup for themselves.

I cannot express how grateful I am that you decided to fund our project. Thank you for acknowledging how important it is to learn about healthy foods, and how they help us grow big and strong.”

  • Feed Me Something Good to Eat!

    Funded Sep 21, 2022

Thank you all so much for you generous donations to our "Feed me something good to eat" project. Our preschool center is open from 7am to 5 pm, and most of our students are here for eight hours or more. We are regularly faced with families who cannot afford meals or have limited food resources at home, so we make up the difference by providing healthy snacks throughout the day for our littlest learners.

The goldfish and Scooby Doo snacks were a huge hit, and applesauce is always a safe bet. I was surprised however at how many students had never had pineapple juice before. We were able to do an activity where they were able to try the pineapple juice and write their name on a chart of yes or no they didn't like it. They majority loved it!

I wish you could have seen their faces when we opened up all the boxes. They were so excited and anxious to try everything. Some of them looked like they had never seen that much food in one place. Your donation is going to help feed the early drop off students and the late afternoon friends when they are hungry, providing some warmth and comfort. Thank you again.”

  • We are ALL Special and Unique!

    Funded May 6, 2022

My students were so excited when they first saw the box of materials so generously donated by you for our "We are All Special and Unique" project. They said "It's Christmas!!" And it really did feel like that!

The students loved to see books with images that reminded them of themselves and their families. One of the students even said "I wear that at night too!", looking at the cover of the "Bedtime Bonnet" book. Another student really enjoyed the Asthma book, because she saw the same inhaler that she uses at home.

We did a cutting project where we had to cut our small pictures, and I had a few less frustrated students with the help of the safe cut training scissors. What a great learning tool! We have placed the sandpaper letters in the writing area to support our tactile learners. Finally my students really liked all the posters which had many children of

different cultures and abilities represented. The messages we so positive sayings no matter what we look like on the outside we all belong together. Thank you again for helping to support representation for all students in the classroom.”

  • Help Us With the Basics!

    Funded Nov 15, 2021

My students were so excited to receive the boxes of supplies for our "Help us with the Basics" project for the classroom. One student even said it looked like we bought a whole Walmart! They were so happy to receive the class set of Playdough as our old playdough was crumbly, and gross. We re-stocked our pencils for both writing and drawing, mini markers, and even got mini erasers for our white boards! Yeah no more using tissue! The air dry clay has been a huge hit with students asking to make little containers, animals, and presents for their moms and dads that they then get to paint. We have been using the kinetic sand daily. The students love to chop, scoop and pretend they are making food for us teachers. One boy was so excited to see the sand in blue and purple, that he said he liked it much better than the yucky brown sand.

Thank you so much for helping us get the supplies we needed to start the year off right.

Both the students and I thank you for your generosity.”

We might be classified as as a low income school, with many of our children at or below the poverty level, but we have more heart than any other school I have been at. My students are in Preschool. We love to play pretend, and enjoy spending our time in the playhouse and puppet theater area. We like to do cooking projects, and learn about each other, and the world around us.
