Most of my students do not have the opportunity to play with STEM toys at home or after school. By providing them with opportunities to build, create, follow directions and steps, it allows them to grow. Legos are a wonderful way to learn how to share, take turns, be creative, and feel successful when you can copy a model. I use the Legos as a reinforcement strategy for students that complete the work and others are maybe not working as hard. Legos are also great to enhance their fine motor skills. A lot of my students have a difficult time with writing and working with small objects like this strengthens their little fingers. Thank you so much for your contribution. I can use these sets for years to come!”

Thank you so much for the wiggle seat cushions and new curriculum. Some of the students I work with are constantly moving in their seat. The seat cushions allow them to get some movement while still working on the assignments I give them. The new curriculum will help the students practice skills that they have not been able to master. Some students have to practice the same skills many times before learning them. These books are a wonderful way to supplement the Special Education curriculum provided by the district.
Thank you so much for providing the students with materials and prizes to use while in the Special Education classroom. Not only does it motivate them to keep learning it keeps them interested in learning. They have enjoyed using the materials and earning the prizes in store. The game is a fun way to keep them excited about learning. The testing dividers allow the students to have privacy during testing and helps them feel more confident. A lot of students have testing anxiety and are easily distracted so these are great to block out distractions.”
Many of the students in my classroom are not able to access information in their general education classroom. Some of them have to be out of class to receive help in a smaller group setting, the majority of the day. By having incentives like stress toys, stickers, and treats it allows them to feel motivated to keep learning. The students are able to use the stress balls and other fidget toys as a way to deal with their stress while still completing their assignments. They are motivated and excited about working again! I have also been able to implement some of the lessons from the Daily 6 Trait writing books for different grade levels to help them write in complete sentences. I have seen a lot of improvement in their writing. Thank you so much for choosing my classroom.”

The hands-on sensory toys would be very beneficial for students needing a break from the academics. I could also use the hands-on activities as a reward system to encourage students to complete more work. The wipe clean activity books are perfect for these little ones that are learning crucial skills necessary to be successful in Kindergarten and in future grades. It teaches them foundational skills; letter identification, sound identification, numbers, colors, shapes, and works on fine motor skills. The other activity books will help them master skills like; cutting, tracing, matching, sorting, and sequential order.
The writing workbooks would help students that are struggling to write complete sentences and/or paragraphs independently. The sensory toys are great for when they need to take a break from working. It's also a great workout for their little fingers. I would be able to reuse each year with new incoming students at that level.
