Our students are extremely energetic and social. They are currently at the age where peer interactions are one of the most, if not the most, important aspects of their day to day life. Developmentally, our students are reaching the age where they desire more opportunities to make decisions, and it is important to us to give them the opportunity to make choices based off of their individual wants and needs. Additionally, since many of our students have so much energy, they are always looking for ways to move without being disruptive. Standing desks, stools, and similar items provide this alternative to students. These flexible seating options will not only give students more ownership in their classroom environment, but will also provide them with more opportunities to work collaboratively and make informed choices based off of their needs.
