Engaging Students With Literacy and Math Learning Centers!

Funded Feb 21, 2018

Thank you for your generous donation to our first grade classroom. My students have been able to practice and review skills using hands-on learning. My students enjoy the sentence building cubes and frequently play the Silly Sentences game which has improved their writing skills. Student enjoy practicing sight words with our new games. We play Super Genius regularly throughout the week, and the students frequently mention how much fun they have learning! I have been able to differentiate our learning with the various games and materials which has increased engagement. I enjoy hearing students thinking, cooperation, and problem solving skills as they use our new materials.

We opened our materials together as a class. As each new material was introduced, the students cheered. Students love using the materials each day, and I enjoy seeing them engaged in practice and learning.

As we move forward in our classroom, I am looking at ways to incorporate our new materials into opportunities for project based learning next year and expanding resources for even more hands on learning and engagement. My students continue to show gratitude for our materials daily and ensure that they are well cared for. Your generosity has been much appreciated and will continue to be appreciated in years to come.”

With gratitude,

Ms. Croghan
