  • 3D Printing in Engineering

    Funded Aug 14, 2024

I am so excited about this project! This means so much to me and my students. I can’t wait to post pictures and show you all of the amazing creations my students make with these 3D printers. Thank you so much for supporting our efforts. You’re the best!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Keesee

  • Shop Safety

    Funded Dec 31, 2022

We are so grateful for your generosity. We have so many projects waiting to be done but we needed the safety equipment in order to move forward. We tried working on a couple of projects but a student got a splinter in his eye and another student had temporary loss of hearing in her left ear due to lack of safety equipment; so we stopped. Now, thanks to your kindness, we can start again. This means so much.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Keesee

  • 2018 Maumelle High Outdoor Classroom

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

The tools we received from Donors Choose enabled us to create an outdoor classroom for the school. The science department teaches an Earth Science class and they have been working the planting beds. The art department takes their classes out to do landscapes and the many other classes simply enjoy being outside. The garden is a popular spot during lunch and after school practice for Cross Country and Cheer. Thank you so much for supporting our project!

My Engineering students set out on a quest to map out an area and create an outdoor classroom for the student body. A local lumber company donated wood and screws for raised beds and picnic tables. And Donors Choose donated the tools we needed to get the job done - including a miter saw! It was amazing.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Keesee

I teach Engineering to students ranging from 9th grade to 12th grade. They are creative, purpose driven, hands-on students that thrive when given a challenge. They are our future leaders and problem solvers. Their compassion is evident in the projects they choose. When my architecture class built structures for wall and roofing systems, they designed dog houses for the local animal shelter. The Principles of Engineering students hosted summer camps for young children and taught them how to build and program robots. They have organized community clean-ups, built sets for community theaters and worked with the Habitat for Humanity organization. They are a wonderful group of young men and women that renew my spirit everyday.
