  • I Scream, You Scream, My Students All Scream for Calculators!

    Funded Dec 26, 2020

    This gift that allows each one of my students to have a calculator in their hands has been amazing. We struggled with going back and fourth between windows trying to open the calculator screen and it was frustrating. Now my students have them on their desks. They have them out before I even get into the class. It has just been truly amazing.

    They love that these tools are their own. They don't have to worry about sharing them. They bring them to school everyday and take home each afternoon. They are loving the new neon expo markers too! It adds a little brightness to their notes and examples!

  • My Dining Room is My New Math Room

    I can't Thank You ENOUGH! The easel, chart paper, and markers have been so helpful! With all going on with Covid-19, we can't hang charts around the room. The easel has still giving me access to create charts and I am able to keep them in one place and refer back as needed! I use the chart everyday and refer back to this consistently.

    My students ask me all the time, "Are you going to make a chart today?"! They love the colorful markers, and they smell pretty delicious too! The markers are a huge asset to my struggling and ELL learners.

Having a Smartboard in classrooms today is the norm. I have taken it for granted and boy oh boy is it missed! But the use of whiteboards is a daily activity in my classroom, especially in math. Using their desktops, students are able to show their work after watching a model. The whiteboards allow me to see exactly what they are doing, as well as provide an easy place for them to show and share their work. Having a whiteboard at home will help us adjust to online instruction all the while making it engaging and meaningful!

About my class
